What is the difference between the New Data Alert (NDA) and the (CCM) process?

Both the NDA and CCM process allow you to check customers that have already been screened against changes in the Sanction and PEP lists. The differences between the two processes are the requirements for entering data and the underlying data sources that support the process.

New Data Alert  (NDA)

This feature allows the client to upload the searches of their current clients that they want to monitor on a dailyweekly or monthly basis. This feature can be enabled for any username via contacting your account manager.

The minimum requirement for this feature this feature to work properly is:

The exact Individual / Company Name and the Same Internal Reference ID associated with the search. (The search criteria can contain additional information but is not used to perform the NDA process)

Once the search is submitted under this NDA enabled username Sentinel will scan the searches submitted by the same username. Once Sentinel finds a previous search the match the same Individual/Company Name and Internal Reference ID it will compare the results from the current search results against the results of the same previous search.

If Sentinel finds that the new search results contains new information the previous search results did not contain the following results type can be displayed.

High Risk ( When the Previous Search Result Type is a NO MATCH FOUND )

High Risk – New Data ( When Sentinel found new information was included on the current search results that the previous search Results did not contain )

High Risk – Duplicate  ( When the results of the new search contain the same information as the previous search )

The Duplicate Result Type are not reviewed being that the information is the same as the previous search results but it is recorded in Sentinel that the search was performed

Medium Risk ( When the Previous Search Result Type is a NO MATCH FOUND )

Medium Risk – New Data ( When Sentinel found new information was included on the current search results that the previous search Results did not contain )

Medium Risk – Duplicate ( When the results of the new search contain the same information as the previous search )

The Duplicate Result Type are not reviewed being that the information is the same as the previous search results but it is recorded in Sentinel that the search was performed

This Feature is used when clients wants to be alerted in a Daily basis by Sentinel if any new information is found the next day on their clients.

Pros: Sentinel provide current data source information to search against on a daily basis when the file is uploaded. Can be performed at any time basis on client requirement to process their clients.

Cons: Client will need to upload the same file plus or minus new clients or clients that no longer need to be rescreened. User is responsible to upload the batch file or submit searches manually

CCM process

The feature is used when the client wants to rescreen their active clients by automated CCM process on a weekend basis and be informed if new information has been found that needs to be reviewed to see if 1. The new information is associated with their client and if so will the new information affect their business relationship.

The CCM process consist of two usernames Data & Monitoring. The Data Username will have CCM enable this indicate all searches submitted Single name search or Batch upload will be added to the CCM list.  The Sentinel CCM rescreening process starting every Saturday will have the designated Monitoring username rescreened the searches listed .

The CCM process will follow the same comparison process as the NDA feature.

The CCM process will only log the searches that contain new information that needs to be reviewed by a user.

The Results Type will be:

High Risk ( When the Previous Search Result Type is a NO MATCH FOUND )

High Risk – New Data ( When Sentinel found new information was included on the current search results that the previous search Results did not contain )

Medium Risk ( When the Previous Search Result Type is a NO MATCH FOUND )

Medium Risk – New Data ( When Sentinel found new information was included on the current search results that the previous search Results did not contain )

Searches that does not found new information or display No Match Found are not recorded by Sentinel.

After The CCM process has completed rescreening each search on the CCM list the CCM Alert Email is sent to the designated email address responsible in reviewing the new results.

To remove a search from the CCM list the client will retrieve the last search that was performed on the subject via Search Results (Full) and Change the Result Type to INACTIVE also add comment under ANNOTATION with the reason the search will not be rescreened.

This will remove the search from the CCM list and will no longer be rescreened.

We also offer the CCM Data Refresh option. The client will produce a batch file of their current clients that they want to continue to monitor.

This new file will be uploaded. Once processed the Tier II group will remove the previous searches on the CCM list and replace by the new file. This will streamline the CCM process to rescreen current clients and new clients going forward.

Pros: The data is only submitted once. CCM will rescreen the search every weekend reducing manual intervention by the user. You can have multiple CCM process for different groups within your account (No Limit creating multiple CCM ). CCM Alert Email sent confirming that the searches have been rescreened by the associated Monitoring username

Cons: All searches entered are added to be rescreened, this includes duplicate searches, searches containing errors.

The CCM process is performed once every weekend this process  can not be modified. (Sentinel X will allow CCM to be process at any time base on client selection)
